Ricky played lead slide electric guitar on Erika Chambers' new recording, "Footprints". And Micol sang harmonies & Ricky played dobro, on Erika's new recording called, "The War" both featured on Erika's new upcoming CD.

Micol & Ricky sang, Micol played piano, tambourines, Ricky played upright bass, drums, dobro, acoustic guitar and produced a commercial demo for JC Penney's in January 2008.

Micol sang the lead vocals on a new Susan Anders' recording called "Goodbye is the New Hello" in January 2008.

This year, we're so honored to be having the opportunities to take our music to new places & to new audiences! For years we have toured the southeast and midwest and always love it! This year, we've performed at the Winter Park Folk Festival in Colorado and have had the chance to eyewitness the majestic Rocky Mountains. It's our first trip to Colorado and we've gotta go back, it is simply breathtaking! Later this year, we'll be performing at The Big State Festival in Texas - our debut performance in The Lone Star State at the Texas World Speedway with some other artists that we have utmost respect for. And we're also performing for the first time in New York City, which is also our first time going to NYC! We'll be heading to Mississippi and to our stompin' grounds in Tennessee again soon & often too - always love touring through the beautiful southland! It's so exciting and such a blessing that we're both so grateful to God to have these opportunities. We're thankful to each of you for your support of us and our music as well. We hope to see y'all soon & hope you'll come boogie with us!!!

The 2007 Austin City Limits Festival, which was solidly confirmed for Blue Mother Tupelo on November 16, 2006, was inadvertently cancelled for Blue Mother Tupelo by June 11, 2007 due to an oversight on the part of the agent representing the stage that Blue Mother Tupelo was scheduled to perform on.

After being informed that we had a definite slot on the festival, there was some type of error on the part of the folks booking this particular stage at the festival and BMT's slot was unintentionally given to another artist.

We, Ricky & Micol Davis a.k.a. Blue Mother Tupelo, want to sincerely apologize to every one of you who has been informed about our much anticipated performance on this festival. We are so embarrassed that we've told people, and the media, that we're going to be on the Austin City Limits Music Festival and now it's not happening. We have to let y'all know that we were CERTAINLY BOOKED AND PROMISED A SLOT ON THIS FESTIVAL and this is the ONLY reason why we ever let folks know about this.

Due to what the people who are booking this stage at the festival are calling an "oversight", our slot has been taken away. This is a hurtful blow to us, but we're dusting off our britches and boogie'n on. The people responsible are telling us that they're working toward another opportunity for us.

For all the folks who've said they're gonna make the trip to see us at the Austin City Limits Festival, we want to apologize that we've been placed in this predicament but we also want to immensely thank you for your support of us and our music.

And just hold on, we're gonna make some more music for ya - just wait and see!

We're honored to have our brand new song, "Lazy Days" included on a compilation CD for the movie industry in Hollywood, California. Y'all who've been to some recent shows might have heard, "Lazy Days". This recording will also be included on our new CD to be released in '07.

We're honored that Blue Mother Tupelo has been nominated in the Best Future Band/Duo category and that our recording of "Put Your Head On My Shoulder" from the movie Daltry Calhoun has been nominated as Favorite Song From A Movie in WIVK's Americana Highway 2006 HEMI Awards!
