All grown up & still learning lots ... - October 19, 2005
It's been a roller coaster ride since August ... We recorded 2 songs for a movie soundtrack and got 1 of em in the movie Daltry Calhoun. (Never did that before!) Got shot a video of for the song in the movie ("Put Your Head On My Shoulder", the 1959 Paul Anka smash hit) directed by the movie's writer & director, Katrina Bronson, and produced by the movie's producer, Danielle Renfrew. Stray Dog was the camera/production crew ... All were awesomely kind to us , thank goodness! (Never did that before!) Went to Hollywood to the premiere of the movie & had the awesome time of meeting some of the stars of the movie - Johnny Knoxville, Juliette Lewis, Sophie Traub, and executive producer Quentin Tarantino. (Never did that before!) The movie has come & gone ... hopefully to be sent to DVD soon for all us cats interested in having a copy. And it's the middle of October with things slowing down a lot. Crash, boom! It's all been wonderful. It's all good. Even in the insecurity of not knowing what comes next, life is good. Because of the knowledge that things can change in an instant, life is good. Thanks to all of you for being so interested & supportive of us in our endeavors. We can't help but continue on this journey of music ... guess it'll kill us even as it brings us life ... I wanna go down with a song in my heart ... So, consumed with this "career" we're trying to make, I write to say - I'm thankful for the wavelength from soul to soul that we share ... still feel like a little girl finding the "connections" ... learning a lot ...
